Scott Gill has spent over 3 decades in the restaurant business, with a vast majority of those, managing and opening upscale restaurants and country clubs in the Naples area. “I have had the good fortune to work with quite a few impressive and dedicated professionals along the way, which have helped shaped my ability to evolve in an ever evolving industry. It has been an absolute labor of love to have had the opportunity to be involved with MiDToWN since its inception, and be able to work with this talented team”, says Scott. He is most enthusiastic when engaged in conversation about, wine, creative and cultural food, traveling and tennis.

Beginning in the late 80’s, Michael Hernandez began to make his mark on the Southwest Florida restaurant scene. As a consummate innovator and trend setter, Michael began raising the bar for Florida restaurants with unique and creative concepts like that in The Mad Hatter in Sanibel, and Michael’s Cafe in downtown Naples. After marrying his wife, Lisa, they collaborated to create Trios, Bistro 821, Zoë’s, Mia’s, and Aqua Grill, just to name a few. After their brief hiatus in Montana, they packed up and returned to Naples, where it all began. From there, they took over Handsome Harry’s, as well as the old Zoë’s location to create what is now HobNob. Never one to slow down, Michael seized the opportunity to transform the old Friday’s into their newest restaurant, MidTown, which encompasses the easy going, fun local vibe that Naples was in need of. Moving forward at full force with new plans on the books, Public House is their soon-to-be spot at Creekside Corners, opening towards the end of this year.

Art is my way of communicating without words.Splitting my time under the Big Skies of Montana and on the beautiful coastal waters of the Gulf Coast has infused my work with the rhythms of nature and an expansive sense of space. I choose to work non-figuratively because the process allows me my freedom to explore unforeseen aspects of myself. I am passionate about connecting to my inner world through my art.   ~Kage Harp
